Sell your scrap or damaged car
MOT failure, accident damage, engine trouble or simply reached the end of the road? Tell us what has happened and we’ll assess the vehicle from the information you provide.

We can still consider vehicles that are no longer practical to sell privately
If a car has reached the stage where advertising it yourself feels like more effort than it is worth, a clear valuation enquiry can be a much simpler route. Tell us what is wrong, where the vehicle is kept and whether it can be driven or recovered.
A car does not have to be roadworthy to be worth an enquiry
Older and damaged vehicles are often harder to sell privately because buyers want to know whether the car can be driven away, what failed on the MOT and whether repairs are economical. We Buy Any Cars South Wales accepts enquiries for vehicles that have failed an MOT, suffered accident damage, developed major mechanical faults or are no longer practical to keep.
The most useful thing you can do is describe the condition honestly. Tell us if the engine starts, whether the vehicle can move under its own power, which warning lights are showing and what you know about the fault. If an MOT failure sheet or garage diagnosis is available, summarise the main points. Photographs of damage are particularly helpful because they allow us to understand the vehicle before any collection is discussed.
Examples of vehicles we can consider
You can submit cars with body damage, failed clutches, gearbox issues, turbo or engine problems, electrical faults, expired MOTs and vehicles that have been standing. We can also consider insurance-category vehicles where the relevant history is declared. The form includes a condition section so you can explain what is wrong without trying to squeeze everything into one small text box.
Collection and paperwork
If we agree to buy the vehicle, collection arrangements depend on its condition and location. Let us know if the wheels are locked, tyres are flat, keys are missing or access is difficult, because these details affect the type of recovery needed. Keep the V5C and any relevant documentation available. Where a vehicle is being treated as an end-of-life vehicle, the legal disposal process and appropriate paperwork must be followed.
Our original service has always focused on Cardiff and South Wales, and that remains at the heart of the revamped website. Sellers can request a valuation from home, explain the vehicle properly and then decide whether the offer is right for them. There is no obligation just because you filled in the form.
Not sure whether your car is “scrap”?
That is fine. A vehicle with faults may still have value as a used car rather than purely as scrap. Submit the details and we can assess the enquiry. If the car is running, has an MOT and you simply want to sell it, use our Sell Your Car page instead.
